After months of testing, Google's Android 11 has finally being rolled out to compatible Pixel smartphones. This includes the new Pixel 4a, along with the Pixel 4, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 2 series of smartphones. On top of that, OnePlus has started rolling out open betas for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. The same goes for Oppo’s X2 and Reno 3 and Realme’s X50 Pro.

Android 11 adds a tonne of features to Google's mobile operating system, with the main focus on messaging and notifications. The notifications will now show a separate section for Messaging apps in the drop-down notification shade. Moreover, there's also a new ‘Chat Bubbles’ feature, which shows floating heads on the edge of the screen to make them easily accessible.

In addition to the abovementioned, Android 11 also debuts a new screen recorder feature, revamped power button menu, a new screenshot interface, more restrictive permissions settings, and so on. There are some Pixel exclusive features too, including intelligently named folders, Google's in-built smart reply functionality, and AR-location sharing.

As we reported earlier, Android 11 also features wireless Android Auto to all smartphones, a feature that was earlier limited to Pixel and higher-end Samsung phones. Google Pixel users can download the update right away by heading to Settings > System > Advanced > System update. Expect other manufacturers to start rolling out the update in the upcoming months.
