Xiaomi's spin-off brand, Huami has launched the Amazfit T-Rex in India with 1.3-inch (360x360 pixels) AMOLED display, which is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. The T-Rex smartwatch was formerly revealed at the CES 2020, January, and the previous month, the company disclosed that it will be bringing the smartwatch to India in the second week of June. The smartwatch measures 47.7x47.7x13.5mm and it weighs 58 grams.
The Amazfit T-Rex is backed by a 390mAh battery, which the company claims will last up 20 days in the daily use mode. The battery can last up to 66 days if used on the basic watch mode, however, with the regular use of GPS, the battery will run out in about 20 hours. The smartwatch is 5ATM water-resistant, which means it can sustain water submersion up to 50 meters. The Amazfit T-Rex has a heart rate sensor (PPG), an ambient light sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor.
In terms of connectivity, the Amazfit T-Rex supports Bluetooth v5.0 and GPS + GLONASS. Further, the device is MIL-STD-810G compliant. The activity tracking features of the smartwatch consist of 14 sports modes and it can scan the heart rate, exercise statistics, and a lot more. It can also monitor one’s sleep. The smartwatch works with both iOS and Android devices. Furthermore, the device can perform usual functions like sending notifications, call reminders, weather, making a mobile payment, and so on.
The Amazfit T-Rex is available in four different colours - khaki, rock black, army green, and camo green. It is priced at ₹9,999 and will be available via Amazon and Amazfit.com. The company says that the smartwatch will be available in retail stores like Reliance Digital, Poorvika Mobiles, and Croma by the next week.
